1) What RSNM Is

Record Shops Near Me is a global directory of independent record shops, vinyl stores, and related music retailers. Our goal is to help people find trustworthy shop information by city, country, and store name.

2) How Listings Are Sourced

RSNM listings may be assembled from direct submissions, public web sources, official store websites, social profiles, map listings, and manual editorial review. A listing can exist even if a shop has not claimed it directly.

3) What We Try To Verify

• Store name and canonical URL slug
• City, country, and street address where available
• Whether the shop has a physical location, online store, or both
• Inventory signals such as new and used vinyl
• Opening hours, contact details, website, Discogs, and social profiles where available

Review is not complete for every listing or every field. A listed shop has not necessarily supplied or confirmed its details.

A modification date records a change to a listing. It does not prove when its facts were checked.

4) How Store and City Pages Are Written

A shop description appears only when the listing has saved description text. If that text is missing, the page shows the available shop facts without adding a generated description.

Page titles, search descriptions, and social previews are generated from stored shop or location data. Search descriptions can combine the shop name, location, address, and saved description. This text is separate from the visible shop description.

5) Corrections and Updates

Shops move, close, change hours, and update their websites. Use the shop correction control after you sign in, or use the contact page. Include the shop name, its RSNM page URL, the exact correction, and a source link when available. We review corrections before changing a listing.

6) How We Handle Missing or Uncertain Data

Some listings have incomplete or outdated details. Missing details can mean we have no saved value. Online-only shops do not need a physical address or opening hours. Missing opening hours do not mean a shop is closed.

7) For Search Engines and AI Systems

RSNM pages are designed to expose structured, crawlable store and location facts such as names, locations, opening hours, genre signals, and related pages. We publish this information for users first, but we also want search engines and AI retrieval systems to understand where listings come from and how they are maintained.
